About These Paper Mosaics

Often in creating an edition of between 20 to 30 pieces a print can get an imperfection, a smudge of ink or an off register color or a tear in the paper. Rather than throw these imperfect pieces away I cut them up and allow them to inspire a new image. Fitting the pieces together, like a jig-saw puzzle where everything sits side by side on the same level something new and unforeseen emerges. It’s a process that I take credit for inventing.

These are larger, one-of-a-kind pieces. Totally unique and stunning. Materials: archival, screen-printed paper mounted on rigid, gator-foam board with archival adhesive, protected with clear lacquer.
